@sindresorhus love it. And same. I keep a list somewhere, but choose one each day to finish.

@_patmurray Pat, there’s some things you don’t say out loud. Words have an impact, you know?

@Miriamm the week old noodles are calling.

@uastronomer Right?? Just had the same conversation. It's still technically the winter down here in Melbourne, and yet seeing another 22' day tomorrow.

@dandycat How did you go with this?
-
∞
@dansup totally agree! It’s all in the execution as they say.
-
∞
@ramsey it’s even cheaper if you do it in seconds.

@dandycat good article! As their price ticked up, I decided to switch to a SYnology NAS. We’ll see if that was a good idea in course. A few yearly subscriptions quickly paid for one + five drives + UPS, especially if you have two computers in the house (or more). The only real down side is it’s on site.

@manton thanks! I'll keep an eye out for that, see if that's it. I love micro.blog really, it serves a great middle ground for me. The Ivory app really removed all of the papercuts from using mastodon, and I think it could do the same for micro.blog. There's no point reinventing the wheel as they say (although I suspect the guys over there did a LOT of work to make the app so smooth, rich and intuitive). Little things like the feed load-more button on the micro.blog app get in the way of just spending 15 mins browsing in an evening.

@manton If Ivory worked with Micro.blog without all the features, I'd be over the moon. And whilst I love Micro.blog, there's a sort of element of isolation. It doesn't feel as interactive or rich here, with the same followers, as a mastodon instance did. I can't work it out.

@macrumors maybe they should build their stuff in countries that are stable and pay the wages that come with that. Running around the world trying to take advantage of cheap labour and low regulations, and then protesting when those regulations don’t look after you is a special type of naïve for one of the worlds biggest companies.

@Br3nda they don’t want to look at a graph. The headline works because it feeds and justifies their prejudices.

@stroughtonsmith this is just proof that an affordable Vision Pro (just Apple Vision?) would be a smash. The use case is “do computer stuff together in places where having a computer is difficult”.

@decryption check this out if you haven’t already, it’s worked well for me. www.donotcall.gov.au

@Br3nda I was very close to doing this today, but I’m sad and so will order Chinese instead.

@dansup really exciting stuff!

@revk Yes. It'll get out.

@ChrisPirillo aioli!

@taylorlorenz They could just get round that by calling it "X App" or something, couldn't they?

@dansup Looking forward to reading your work.

@seldo I've not watched it yet. I did wonder whether they'd talk about activities beyond the race of the project. The TV series "Manhattan" did the same, probably because talking about the consequences of the project would, y'know, nuke the show.

@[email protected] This was a whole adventure in one post. I think my take-aways are: a) The x in X.com is to direct you to close it, and walk away; and, b) Yes - I'm all about The Bear, I watched Season 1 and am looking forward to getting into Season 2.
